Our 60,000-square-foot manufacturing facility is far more than a factory - it is the core of our company and the basis for every element of our design work. From our design studio - where we experiment with new materials and prototype new designs - through every stage of the production process, we combine the best of technology and craft to create pieces that are uniform in quality while maintaining the hand-made ethos and custom details that still define true luxury.
Where most custom furniture makers work on a contract model, outsourcing the component pieces of their products to individual contractors, we do virtually all of our own work in-house, regularly incorporating new processes and techniques. This allows us not only to monitor the quality of our products, but to improve the way we design and develop them.
Each new design begins here. The light-filled studio space at our Greater Noida production facility is where new inspirations are assimilated into the DeMuro Das aesthetic, and where new materials are tested for their unique properties and optimal uses. Placing our studio within the factory allows us to use the expertise of our production staff to test the feasibility of new designs and to refine them continuously until we’ve created a product consistent with our high standards.
Translating a design to an actual product requires extensive knowledge of material and a technical understanding of the fabrication process. Our engineers use a variety of CAD engineering packages to create 3D models for all our standard designs and bespoke millwork in order to fabricate our designs accurately. Each new product and each new project inspires new ideas and feeds back into the design process.
“All of our pieces combine the PROFESSIONALISM and consistent QUALITY of a large
commercial manufacturer with the LUXURIOUS finish of a CUSTOM DESIGN STUDIO.”
Our woodworking division makes use of exotic veneers and kiln-dried hardwoods to create custom furniture that is both unique and timeless . Flat panel processing gives us the capacity for high-volume production of wardrobes, kitchens and built-in carpentry, while our team of carpenters uses traditional carving techniques and traditional joinery to produce bespoke pieces. Our use of modern machinery allows us to guarantee consistency , but we achieve our high level of detail and refinement by tapping into the traditional culture of artisanship that remains singularly accessible in contemporary India.
Comprising two production lines for spray finishing each consisting of a prep area, spraying chamber and a temperature controlled drying chamber our finishing division uses Italian coating products, including water-based finishes, polyurethanes and polyesters to offer a full complement of finishes.
We create our padded furniture through a process that combines innovative handcrafted techniques with the precision of industrial technology. Highly specializedEuropean machinery and top quality materials enable us to provide an unparalleled finish using fabrics and leather upholsteries that represent the best of what India and the world have to offer.
“More than any single element of our DESIGN sensibility, it is a connection to CRAFT that roots
DeMuro Das in the Indian tradition of LUXURY.”
Our metalworking division creates both ornament and hardware for our furniture. Welding, turning, milling, stamping, and grinding allow us to experiment with the myriad textural possibilities of metals, while our casting division allows us to design and realize intricate surface patterns and sculptural shapes in furniture and accessories. For surface finishes on metal DeMuro Das has a complete electro-plating unit.
